Spring

We are enjoying the first few days of spring.  Last week we stopped by to see my grandma at the nursing home and ran into my Aunt Kay and Cousin Grace.  My grandma needs assistance with eating so she sits in that section of the dining room.  I think that explains the look on Emma and Audrey's face during the picture!  There must have been something interesting going on at a nearby table!

The next few pictures are of St. Patrick's Day.  My grandma made us a nice Irish lunch of cornbeef and cabbage and it was yummy!  We played outside the rest of the afternoon coloring pictures with sidewalk chalk.  Audrey thought she was hot stuff in her lawn chair.  Our sweet cousin Peyton was there too.  Thank goodness he is a good sport and easy to get a long with because I think he had his chalk stolen by the girls about 100 times!

Short Sleeves and Walking

We had a few nice days when we were able to ditch our jackets and wear short sleeves.  It was nice to not have to be so bundled for the short period of time it lasted.  Today we woke up to near freezing temperatures and are back to coats and hats.  We are definitely ready for spring in this house!

We have a new walker in the house as of this week.  For a few weeks now Audrey has been taking a few steps here and there, walking around furniture and walking with push toys but this was her break away week.  She is still a little wobbly but she sure is cute.  She drags toys around with her and is so proud of herself!

A Trip To Texas

We piled in the van and made the long 12 hour drive to Houston to spend a long weekend with my sister and her family.  The girls were excellent during the drive with the exception of Emma getting a little car sick!  She lost her lunch about 5 hours from home but thanks to a lovely man at the car wash we were back on the road vomit free in just a few minutes.  We had a great time going to lunch, shopping, playing games, and hanging out with family.  My niece Caroline got baptized when we were there too!  The night before the baptism, Emma was sleeping in a twin bed (a little too much freedom for her!) and had a run in with the wall.  A few x-rays later and several bags of ice and she was back to normal.  Just a nasty bruise and lots of scratches!  Here are all of the pictures from the girls first big driving trip!

These pictures were taken when we were eating lunch at the Rainforest Cafe.  The one in the bottom left corner is Audrey enjoying the restaurant/view!

Lot of cousin time.  Emma normally calls Audrey "cheeky girl".  We decided Caroline is the new definition of cheeks!
