My Girls

Just a few recent shots of my two favorite girls!

Emma is having a little bit of trouble passing her things on to Audrey. She still likes to sit in the infant car seat and claim it as hers!

Cousin Leslie's Wedding

We ended the week with a trip to IL for cousin Leslie’s wedding. If you have noticed that Adam is not in any of the pictures it is because he was still hard at work with tax season. He wasn’t even able to make it to the wedding! Thankfully we have a huge family and I had tons of help with my two kids, especially Emma. She was on day 10 of a 10 day stretch of no naps and fun times which lead her into maniac mode! Mix that with all the chocolate candy you can eat at the reception and you have one wild child! At one time, I found her stretched out on the head table digging into their candy! For all of our family reading this that saw her in action I promise she is not normally that nuts! I will even bring her back well rested one weekend to prove it!

The beautiful bride Leslie and her husband Ty…….

Family photo minus Adam (disclaimer: This was the end of the night and I was exhausted so please excuse how I look. This is why the photo is in black and white. I looked even worse in true color!)

The five babies in birth order that have been born from September to March! This family reproduces at a rapid rate! The last three (Lana, Audrey and Luke) are all two weeks apart!

Emma and Annie posing for a polka dot picture!

Day 4 - The St. Louis Zoo

We spent Friday afternoon at the St. Louis Zoo. Uncle Eric and his girlfriend Erin joined us. Emma was in zoned out mode from exhaustion most of the day but still had a good time. Every fence we came up to she would yell “open the gate please”. She would have walked right up to every animal had we let her. She has no fear! Audrey was a trooper as usual and once again hung out in her stroller! She is such a good little baby!

Emma took her shoes and socks off early in the day. It grossed me out then and it grosses me out now to think about being barefoot at the zoo! Yuck! I am sure my mom will pass out when she sees this picture! Like I said, she was in the stroller MOST of the time!
It was nice to have Eric join us. He always adds a level of entertainment to the group. Here he is styling in his girlfriend’s jacket!

Day 3 - Grammy and Pop's House

We spent some time too at Grammy and Pop’s house just playing. We also stopped by Great Grandma Marie's house one afternoon. Emma now associates Great Grandma with cupcakes. She ate two mini chocolate cupcakes there and was on a major sugar high!

A preview of Ali’s life in a few months……. :)

We had such a great week with our family. Emma loves her cousins, aunt, and uncle. Ben kept us in stitches with all of his funny sayings and Natalie was really into Audrey and very kindly kept wanting to trade her pacifiers! I am so thankful that my girls have such neat cousins to grow up with. Even though they live ten hours away they already have a special bond with each other. Maybe one day their parents will go crazy and move to Missouri!

Day 2 - The Magic House

The next day we met everyone in St. Louis at the Magic House. I had such a great time watching Emma try out all of the things that I can’t wait to take her back! Even more than Emma loved it, Ben really loved it! He wanted to touch and try everything! They have special sections for all ages which is really neat. There was even a little section for Nattie’s age!

I know Audrey looks like this in most recent photos but I just wanted to document that she was there! She was just too young to participate. At least one child got in a nap that week!

What do you do when you want some “milkey” and your mom forgot to bring your cup in? Lie in the floor and cry until someone gets it for you of course!

Emma and her Grammy, the energetic entertainer, who was probably exhausted and spent the week after we all left sleeping!

Emma absolutely loved the water exhibit! I blame this for her recent bathtub behavior. She has really been enjoying dumping large buckets of water OUTSIDE the tub despite numerous threats! It usually is a two to three towel cleanup job which always ends in soaked bathroom rugs and wet socks! I just keep reminding myself to really enjoy Audrey as a newborn because one day she will be a two year old!

Cousin Week Day 1 (Hawn State Park)

The week after Easter we spent time with Aunt Ali, Uncle Mike, and Cousins Ben and Natalie. It was a busy week but we had a blast! We started off our time together at a state park for lunch and playing. Emma had a blast following Ben around and throwing rocks with Aunt Ali (one of her new favorite hobbies now.....thanks Ali! That is what she wanted to do last night at 9 pm!) We had a great time there, though Emma did leave the park scratched up from head to toe. I guess that is just a sign that you played hard and had a fun time!

Easter 2010

We had a wonderful Easter and wonderful weather. It was the perfect day to celebrate Jesus and His love for us. We visited with Grammy and Pops before heading to church and then spent the afternoon at my uncle’s house with my mom’s family. Here are the photos from our day……

Aunt Julie and Uncle Richard

So far we have had a very busy April! Aunt Julie and Uncle Richard were in town for Easter weekend and we were excited to spend lots of fun time with them. We dyed eggs, celebrated Emma’s birthday, spent time with family, and even managed to squeeze in a few canasta games! We are excited for Julie and Richard to come back in June when we will be having a baby shower for them! They are expecting their first baby in late September!

We dyed eggs with cousins Catherine, Peyton, and Natalie. Some took it very serious as you can see by the yellow gloves!

Happy Birthday Snow White

We spent Saturday evening having a mini birthday party for Emma at my parent’s house. She loves Snow White so we decided to get one more use out of her Halloween costume and have a Snow White Birthday Party! It was a fun evening with our little girl and family.
