Park Pictures
Old pictures, but I am posting them anyway since I am so behind. (You can tell they are from six weeks ago since Emma is in summer clothes!) We took Emma to the park for a picnic and to play on the playground. She got the biggest kick out of her Daddy on the zip glider but he wouldn't let me post that picture!

A Much Needed Update!
It is a much needed update, but here are a few of the things we did in August! We did take a weeklong vacation with Grammy's family to Michigan though there are not any pictures on here to show! That will require some more blogging time!
August 25, 2009 - Emma and the Cardinal Game
We went with Grammy and Pops to the Cardinal Game to watch them play the Houston Astros. This was Emma's first game of the season (she went last year) and probably the last! She was actually very good, entertained with snacks for the first few innings and then walked around the entire stadium with Grammy for the last few! Here are a few photos. We didn't take too many photos because we had so much junk with us (packed to entertain Emma) that it was hard to get to the camera!

August 30, 2009 - Eckerts
A few Sunday's ago, we took Emma to pick apples at Eckerts. It was a little chilly outside but Emma had a great time. We were the ONLY ones picking at the time so Emma was able to run around and act crazy without us having to coral her! Eckerts has three different locations in the St. Louis area. This was our first time at this particular farm (the Millstadt Farm). It had this lookout area that you went up and could see the entire downtown skyline!

July Update
Here are a few of the things that went on with us during July..............
Since we live close to Six Flags (seven minutes away!) we thought it would be a good idea to buy a season pass. (Actually, this was my idea. Adam hates amusement parks!). We have officially used our pass three times and probably will not be buying one next year. It has just not been quite the amount of fun I anticipated. Anyway, Emma has enjoyed the rides she is eligible to ride. She LOVED driving the moon cars! Here are some shots from our first time there.

Early in July, my grandma and cousin Catherine came for a visit. We went swimming in our neighborhood pool, went to Six Flags (twice!), went shopping, and ate lots of food! Here are some of the pool pictures. Catherine is such a huge help with Emma. I am hoping that next summer she just moves in with us!

Emma and I spent some of last week in Farmington since we had some family visitors from IL. Emma loved playing with all of her cousins. We leave at the end of the week for Michigan where we will get to spend time with all of her IL cousins. I know Emma is going to have a blast. I can't wait to see how she likes the sand!

Adam's birthday was July 11. Emma and I celebrated it on July 27th! (We were busy around the time of his real birthday!) I attempted to make a fruit pizza for him but the crust overflowed in the oven leading to a burnt smelly disaster. We had ice cream with fruit instead. Happy late birthday Adam! Next year, we will try to be on time!

Finally, here are a few shots of Emma in our backyard. It is hard to get her to smile outside because she is so distracted by everything she sees!

My Cute Girl
Fourth of July 2009 and Visit with the Moser’s
We spent this past week in Farmington with Adam’s family. It was a fun relaxing week. Emma loved being with her cousins Ben and Natalie. She was fascinated by her cousin Benny and loved laying (on top of!) her cousin Nattie! Here are some pictures from the week!

We spent an afternoon in Ste. Genevieve with Adam’s grandma Marie, and of course, we did a photo shoot! Here are some pictures from that day!

Natalie and Emma had two matching outfits so we dressed them up and took a hundred pictures! If we lived closer we would probably annoy the two of them with making them wear matching clothes all the time!
We started the holiday off at my mom’s house for her annual Fourth of July Party. We only stayed for part of it, enough to devour our first meal, and then headed back to Adam’s parents. It is convenient to hop back and forth from the two houses since they live down the street from each other. Here are some shots at my parents.
Here are some pictures from our second annual “Flag Photo Shoot”…..

And some pictures from last year (Emma was only three months old! She has changed so much!)

Father's Day 2009
Here are some shots from Father’s Day. I often take for granted what a great dad Adam is. I know everyone says that but I honestly do think Adam is the best dad in the world! He is helpful beyond belief, always stepping in to do whatever needs to be done, and always puts Emma first. I love watching them interact. One of the funniest things he does is when he gets her dressed! Some of the outfits he puts together are just ridiculous! Whenever I comment, he always says “What, that doesn’t go together?” Here are some pictures of my two favorite people!

Here is a shot of my dad and my grandpa Jarvis. We spent the day with Pops but for some reason did not get a picture! Sorry about that Pops!

Cousin Emilee's First Birthday Party
We have had a number of events in June this year. It is a big birthday month for my family (not that you would know that since there was only one post in June!). Here are some pictures from our cousin Emilee's first birthday party. Emma and Emilee are only two and a half months apart in age. I look forward to watching their friendship grow as they get older!

Baby Peyton - June 18th, 2009
My cousin Natalie had her baby on June 18th, 2009. Here are some photos from the event. She let me stay in during the delivery and it was an awesome experience! I have seen many deliveries in my nursing career but it is so much neater when you know the person. He was a tiny little guy (only 6lbs and 4 ounces!) but is really cute!

Here is what we have been up to.....
Memorial Day weekend was pretty uneventful. I had to work some so we just stayed around our house. Pops and Uncle Eric came up to watch some sports with Adam and hang out with Emma. These three pictures pretty much sum up our weekend….
Emma had her first haircut on May 29th. It really was more of a “mini” haircut as we just had her bangs trimmed. She has tons of curls in the back so I didn’t want to get those cut! She was so serious the entire time. The shot of her in her car seat is the post cut picture. Sorry that the pictures are not the great. I was holding Emma and Adam was the photographer. I think he may need to take a photography class!

Here are some shots from our friend Alex’s wedding. We went to school together and have been friends since preschool and Adam and Alex have played several sports together over the years. Adam loved our seat at the reception which looked out over a gorgeous golf course and the Mississippi River.

Finally, here are some fairly recent pictures of Emma. She is developing quite the personality. She loves to answer any question that begins with “do you want to” with an enthusiastic “Yeah!” She loves climbing up anything she can get a foot on, including getting all the way to the top of the kitchen table! No pictures to document that though, I didn’t want to have child services called on me (or Adam revoking my babysitting privileges!).
